Project 365 - Catching Up

Well, I've gotten so caught up in everything this month that I've been bad about blogging my Project365 shots.  I've managed to keep up with taking the shots and, for the most part, with sharing them on social media, but not so good with putting them all together.  So, let's do a catching up blog post.  Honestly, what I may do after this post is do a quick post to finish up February and then just start blogging about my Project365 monthly at the end of each month.

Let's see what's been going on...

My girls still have their moments where they are hard to get to go to bed, but then they have nights like this one where they climb into NiNi's bed to listen to their Bible stories and then fall asleep  cuddling with each other.

Seanna made her daddy very jealous getting to go to see the Braves Caravan in Chattanooga.  Here, she was giving him the autographed baseball that she got for him.

A different take on dinner time with a shot of Cayleigh eating her spaghetti where she's in soft focus and in the background.

Seanna looking outside.

Cayleigh enjoying a warmer day.

The girls cuddled up together in their bed.  They skipped naps this day and were asleep by 7:30!

Seanna "helping" with laundry ... now if we can get her to understand how to actually fold laundry.

A few maternity self-portraits that I did ... I normally prefer being behind the camera, but decided that I should get in front of it once in a while.

Landon helping Seanna learn how to write her numbers.

Bathtime usually ends up with the shower curtain pulled across so that the girls have their "cave" ... also, they're bad about pulling both parts of the curtain inside of the tub, so we end up with everything soaked.  But, this shot is an example of the view we usually have during bathtime.

The gorgeous effect of the sunset coming in through the kitchen window.

Who says that washing hands and brushing teeth can't be fun?

Seanna decided to practice for her (soon to be here) little brother with her baby doll ... keep in mind that this is a child who normally has no interest in baby dolls.

Cayleigh enjoying another warmer day outside in her sandbox.  She's not a big fan of Sadie (our boxer) and won't let her keep her company, but Kitty is always welcome.

A different view of dinnertime.

My goal was to get a shot looking down at Cayleigh as she drew on her paper; she had other plans in mind with looking up at me with this smile.

Seanna and her purple pony.

I think that mommy and daddy did good here with our Goodwill find/prize for the girls ... a radio with microphones.

Salt dough hearts that the girls made during craft time.

My little model (Seanna) wanted an impromptu photo shoot.

Cayleigh wasn't feeling good here but cuddles in the rocking chair with NiNi helped make things all better.

Spaghetti is such a fun meal when you can drape the noodles all over your hands and play with them.

Books and puzzles are a good way to end the day.

My baby who at 2 years old still likes to be treated like the baby every now and then.

Birdwatching with NiNi.

Every kid in this family gets introduced to Diet Coke by NiNi fairly early on ... here, Lincoln decided to take matters into his own hands.

Naptime.

Lincoln's big blue eyes as he posed for the camera.

Trains.

Cuddling with daddy for a few minutes before bedtime.

Snow day ... and, yes, we're supposed to get a bunch more tonight.  School was out all week last week and Monday and Tuesday this week due to snow, ice, and extremely cold temperatures.  Today, school was back in session only to get dismissed early because of the winter weather warning that seems to be moving towards being a reality.

My poor sick, baby (Seanna) resting with a washcloth on her head to help with her headache.

Playing together with anything that rolls.

Putting puzzles together.

Birdwatching from the kitchen sink.

Doing dishes has kept us busy the past few days with having my nephews over.

Craft time with paints and animal shaped cookie cutters.

This was the boys take on craft time.

Cayleigh didn't care about craft time, she just wanted cookies and didn't believe us that there weren't any cookies in the cabinet.

Bedtime routine.

Breakfast this morning ... Cayleigh decided that sitting on the table was more fun than sitting on her bench at the table.

As you can tell, we had many days with more than one shot.  That fits with the goal, though, of putting more focus on documenting our lives as they are rather than keeping my camera put up except for special occasions.
